When choosing a tile you will be over welmed with the choice. Depending on the area which is to be worked on you should take lots of different advice from professionals either selling tiles or laying the tiles.
Ceramic tiles:
The quality of this style can reflect in the price. The look of this tile can make the area look like it has been done on a buget.
Porcielian tiles:
This tile means that it is fired in the kiln longer, giving it more of a harder feel.
The prices also can reflect on the quaity.
Natural stone tiles:
The range is massive, the diferrent types are marble,(tumbled and polished), travitine, slate, terracotto.
But the care is all the same, they all should be sealed twice a year depending on traffic(usage).
Mosiacs:
With these tiles are that they never come all square on the sheets, this is why they are mainly used in swimming pools where the water creates an opictal illuision so they look straight. Hence people use them also as borders in bathrooms.Feature walls look good in mosiacs.

After care :
Most customers do not get told how to look after the tiling when completed, so here are a few reminders...
1 you only need to clean with the smallest amount of washing up liquid and warm water to keep clean
2 keep tiles/grout free of moisture by wiping down the tiles after a shower or any spillages
3 do not use bleach on coloured grout ie sandstone, biege or even grey. It will turn black.
4 if you see stains/ dirt then clean it up, tiles are not self cleaning!
If you can stick to these simple rules then the tiles/grout will stay good for years.

Services
The service that Shelfertiling can offer to our customers range from changing one tile to a fully tiled room/floor. Outside work as well ie pathways, swimming pools. steps etc.....
We are trained to the professional finish. Polished/ dusted off tiles, sealed if a natural stone and a silicone to make everything watertight where needed. Not forgetting the weak points in a room ie corner of showers, where windows meet tiles, round floors if surfuce is wood/floorboards/ply.
Our work will last for years if the conditions of the walls/ floors are sound enough to adhere to. What this means is that the surface is propally prepared before tiling.
The looking after is so important as well, so please take the advice above and remember less harmful bleaches keeps a nice job looking new for longer.
If the grouting after so many years does go a nasty colour, then a regrout is always the option.
